Job Description:
Test Execution:
• Operate and maintain ICT/FCT testing equipment, ensuring proper execution of product software.
• Responsible for the normal operation of Burn-In, ICT/FCT testing equipment and the execution of product program software.
• Create detailed test scenarios, including functional, performance, and reliability tests, based on product requirements and specifications.
• Supervise and coordinate the service and maintenance of procedures and testing systems.
• Conduct tests using specialized test equipment and tools, ensuring compliance with product requirements.
• Perform functional testing, signal integrity testing, and environmental testing to validate product performance.
• Liaise with customers on testing techniques and ensure proper execution of testing processes.
Test Equipment & Maintenance:
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and tools in a timely manner to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
• Troubleshoot and repair test equipment as needed.
• Conduct installation, debugging, and verification of testing instruments for the import and transfer of related products.
• Troubleshoot and support test equipment and software-related issues.
• Support equipment upgrades, engineering changes, and programming enhancements..
• Provide testing and programming plans, including quotations for new product introductions and equipment upgrades.
• Work with suppliers on test programming, equipment maintenance, and new test equipment implementation.
Troubleshooting Analysis and Optimization:
• Diagnose and resolve issues with products testing.
• Analyze test results to identify defects or discrepancies and determine root causes.
• Optimize test processes to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and enhance reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Develop and implement automated test solutions and optimize test processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Debugging & Programming:
• Debug and troubleshoot failure products to identify and resolve issues.
• Program and maintain ICT/FCT test systems, ensuring proper execution of product software.
• Provide technical guidance on debugging methods and best practices for troubleshooting.
• Implement corrective actions based on failure analysis and test reports.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Document test procedures, results, and defects in a clear and structured manner.
• Prepare and present test reports, including performance metrics, defect analysis, and recommendations for improvements.
• Record keeping test equipment calibrations and monitoring reports.
Others
• Participate in audits and drive continuous improvement in test coverage and defect prevention.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven 4-5 years of experience as an Electronic Test Engineer or in a similar role within electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design, test methodologies, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiar with different types of testing and programming equipment.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, both internally with departments and externally with customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia in both verbal and written communication.
